Don't use the installation cd because it'll overwrite the other O/S on the same drive, instead use the software cd 1 of 2 and choose to configure the partitions yourself, don't forget to make a small partition for X86, Solaris needs that to boot. Leave the Solaris partition active so that you can choose the O/S
